Fort Hays State University (FHSU) has recently partnered with Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) to designate MCHHS as an official clinical site for the university’s radiologic technology program. This collaboration presents numerous benefits for students and healthcare professionals.
Jenna Loomis and Hannah Schroeder, FHSU radiologic technology students, will complete a clinical rotation at MCHHS for the 2024-2025 school year. This hands-on experience is a crucial component of their education, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world healthcare setting. At MCHHS, students will work alongside experienced radiologic technologists, gaining practical skills in patient care; imaging techniques; radiology, pain management, and surgery procedures; and the use of advanced radiologic equipment.
This opportunity not only enhances their professional skills, but also prepares them for successful careers in the medical field.
